How to Render a Nascar 09 skin in blender
The official paint booth for Nascar 09 recommends a NON-Free program for pre-viewing Nascar 09 skins before uploading them to your EA Locker. This page will explain how to view your skins in the free 3d Program Blender. It's my hope that people will build on this knowledge.- Download Blender 2.46 or later (This tutorial was created with 2.46)
- Download the 3d OBJs files from the EA Paint Booth.
Once you are at the paintbooth click upload, then in the lower right you will see the .obj files.
- Start Blender
- Delete the Default box by pressing the DEL key
- Import the Model
- File->import->Wavefront(.obj) and select your file (Leave the Defaults)
- Right click on the model and press F9
- Map the Texture
- Bring up the Shading box by pressing F5
- Click Add New
- Press F6 To create a new Texture
- Click Add New in the texture box.
- Set Texture Type to "Image"
- In the "Image" tab click load, and find you DDS file and load it.
- Press F5 To go back to shading.
- On the Map Input tab choose:
- UV and Flat
- Press F12 to render your car.
Done!
