Speeding up Firefox
By changing a few settings, you can get firefox to download pages quicker (by allowing it multiple connections at once).
- In the address bar type "about:config" and hit return
- Find "network.http.pipelining" and set it to True
- Find "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" and set it to 30 Allowing it to use up to 30 requests at once.
- Right-Click anywhere on the page and choose New->Integer
- Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay"
- Give it a Value of "0"
